The Reading and Access Research Activity (RARA) was a 1-year USAID program led by RTI and implemented in the Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, and Katsina regions of Nigeria from 2014 to 2015.
The goal of RARA was to evaluate the effectiveness of an approach to improve the teaching and learning of Hausa reading in the early grades.

Oral reading fluency (ORF) is a measure of overall reading competence. Zero scores indicate the proportion of students who could not perform one task correctly.
